This little beauty is the new 214 Elcometer infrared surface temperature gauge. The 214 gauge will give you surface temperature reading in a matter of seconds unlike the thermocouple type gauges. It's as simple as point and shoot.

Pictured above is everything you need to ensure it is safe to apply your coating. Firstly the magnetic steel temp gauge will ensure that your substrate is at a satisfactory temperature to apply the coating. Secondly the whirling hygrometer will help you determine the relative humidity and in conjunction with the dew point calculator you will be able to ensure that all the conditions are right for coating application therefore minimising the risk of coating failure.

Picture above is what is required for measuring the profile of your substrate after blast cleaning. On the left is testex tape which is applied to the blasted substrate, rubbed using the appropriate tool and removed leaving a permanent record of the blasted surface. On the right is the gauge used to measure the profile on the tape. These tools combined will ensure you reach the profile required for the best adhesion of the coating.
