Conventional Spray Equipment

Conventional air spray equipment is the most widely used spray system. This equipment is commonly used but not limited to, the automotive refinishing industry. Also used by the industrial protective coating applicator and for furniture finishing.
There are a number of different configurations used when operating Conventional Spray Equipment.
Suction pot and Gun
This system involves filling the cup at the base of the gun. Paint is drawn to the nozzle when the gun is triggered.
Pressure Feed
This system is used when productivity/quantity is increased. Paint is supplied to the gun via a pressure pot or diapragn pump as pictured below. The most commonly used Pressure Pot sizes are 2ltr and 10ltr. Larger pots are available upon request. Pressure Pots can be supplied with agitators to prevent the paint/product from settling. Bottom feed units are available for products that are high in viscosity. Diaphragm pump machines like the Graco Triton 308 provide a worthy alternative to using a pressure pot. Colour changes and clean up are made very simple with the Triton unit. The paint is taken straight from it's can removing the need to decant he paint.
